Last August, at the Marietta Country Club, the Georgia Tennis Foundation inducted Amy Bryant and Jon Niemeyer into the Sessions Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame, while Robert Sasseville received the Dan Magill "Impact" Award.

Amy Bryant, long-time head coach of Emory University women's tennis, built one of the most dominant programs in Division III history: seven national team titles, multiple individual NCAA champions, and a first-ever distinction as the only woman to win a national championship as both player and coach.

Jon Niemeyer's contributions span decades. After a standout playing career at West Georgia College, he directed tennis at Druid Hills, managed Blackburn Tennis Center for 35 years and DeKalb Tennis Center for 27 years, and served as host for the 1996 Olympic tennis event at Stone Mountain.

Robert Sasseville was honored for his years of service organizing and advocating for junior competition across the state.

The American Racket Sports Association, founded in Georgia in 1977, is proud to see three people who have given so much to Georgia tennis receive the state's highest recognition. Their work has directly touched countless players, coaches, and facilities we all use. Congratulations to Amy, Jon, and Robert — well deserved.
